Scientific/Commercial Diver

EcoAnalysts, Inc. seeks to hire a Scientific Diver to be part of a successful team of aquatic scientists and divers. We provide in-house education and training to equip candidates that have a commercial diving background to qualify as scientific divers. For those with a formal scientific education or degree we provide in-house training to improve and expand your diving ability. In this position, the successful candidate will be required to dive, use scientific techniques, act as a standby diver, and perform surface support tasks such as tending. We accept all levels of experience. Candidates could be required to perform commercial diving tasks under our EcoDiving umbrella if they possess the proper credentials.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma from an accredited commercial dive school OR a scientific based degree.

  • Current ADCI Dive certification is HIGHLY desirable but may be overlooked if the candidate has significant scientific experience.

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

  • Pass a dive physical.

  • Pass a drug screen.

  • Strong work ethic and safe practices mindset.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to work long hours in all types of weather conditions.

  • Ability to travel out of town for extended jobs.

  • Attention to detail.

 Additional Desirable Qualifications

  • Kirby Morgan technician.

  • Mechanical background, small engine repair.

  • Boating Experience (Driving, trailering, loading, and unloading).

  • Class E driver’s license.

  • Scuba dive instructor certification.

  • First aid, CPR and O2 delivery instructor certification
