Danielle Mulligan
Aquatic Toxicologist
Danielle earned her B.S. in Environmental Science in 2019 with an emphasis in marine ecology from Western Washington University (WWU). At the beginning of her senior year, she began an internship at WWU’s SEA Discover Center Aquarium researching zoo and phyto-plankton dynamics of Liberty Bay. During her internship Danielle participated in educational programs with the aquarium to bring marine discovery to children and adults of the community. Due to her hard work and dedication, her internship soon turned into a job as a research technician. Danielle was introduced to environmental and aquatic toxicology at WWU and has been fascinated with all aspects of it since. She happily jumped at the opportunity to become a part of the team at the Port Gamble Ecotoxicology lab in 2019. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys learning about local birds, gardening, and art. She and her family enjoy spending time in nature and hanging out with their dog and cats.
