David Drumm

Marine Crustacean Taxonomist

Originally from Bradford, PA, David earned his B.S. in Biology at Gannon University in Erie, PA and his M.S. in Marine Biology at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2010 with a Ph.D. in Coastal Sciences where his research was on the systematics and population genetics of tanaidacean crustaceans. Before moving to Moscow he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Alaska Fisheries Science Center at NOAA in Seattle where he produced an annotated checklist of all the marine invertebrates of Alaska and conducted genetic work on shrimps. In his free time David enjoys working out, hiking, camping, reading, and listening to music.
