Laboratory Technician
EcoAnalysts, Inc. seeks to hire a dedicated Lead Technician to assist with a variety of laboratory tasks. In this position, the successful candidate’s required duties and activities will include environmental sample preparation, data recording, water quality monitoring, use of laboratory instrumentation (including calibration and maintenance), labware preparation (usage and cleaning), aquatic toxicological test support, data reduction/entry, and laboratory maintenance. The position requires some weekend availability.
Minimum Qualifications
Background or coursework in biology or chemistry.
Demonstrated experience in aquarium maintenance is preferred.
Ability to lift 50lbs regularly is required.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
College coursework or degree in marine or aquatic biology, environmental science, environmental toxicology or related fields.

About EcoAnalysts/Hydrosphere
EcoAnalysts acquired Hydrosphere Research Environmental Services in 2022 and they are a NELAC accredited environmental testing laboratory focused on the aquatic sciences. Our clients include federal EPA permit holders participating in whole effluent toxicity (WET) testing programs, a variety of academic institutions (including UF), private corporations requiring testing under ASTM, OECD, ISO, EPA methods for their products that require environmental and ecological testing for material safety data sheets and other regulatory agencies.
