Dr. Thomas Engel
Dive Operations Manager
Dr. Engel has 15 years of experience in commercial diving in the Gulf of Mexico and Trinidad serving as a dive medical technician, IMCA saturation diver, ADCI mixed-gas diving supervisor, and Six Sigma team leader for a safety improvement team. His zero injury/incident rate in leading diving operations is one of his most cherished professional accomplishments and he is dedicated to maintaining that. He has served in the Airborne infantry in the U.S. Army and as a paramedic and paramedic instructor. He also worked as a child protective investigator and case manager supervisor for children in the child dependency system. Thomas is a Doctor of Human Services with a specialization in child dependency matters. Dr. Engel continues to serve this vulnerable population as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer and foster parent.
